apt-get install libpam-fprintd fprintd

sudo usermod -a -G plugdev $USER
First run fprintd-enroll, then fprintd-verify
To add a signature for a finger, run
$ fprintd-enroll
or create a new signature for all fingers
$ fprintd-delete “$USER” $ for finger in {left,right}-{thumb,{index,middle,ring,little}-finger}; do fprintd-enroll -f “$finger” “$USER”; done
sudo pam-auth-update
or
# If you want the fingerprint to be sufficient, add this at the top of the commands (do it multiple times for however many attempts you want to allow): auth sufficient pam_fprint.so
